According to police and a law-enforcement source familiar with the case, the boy was part of a group of people in a car who arrived at a home on the street to confront residents of a home there. Moments later, people inside the home and people in the car were shooting at each other. At some point the people in the car drove away, but stopped up the street and exchanged more gunfire with the people at the home before fleeing, the source said.
One of the people in the car, a teen boy, was taken to Regional Medical Center, where he died from gunshot injuries.
